building an AI application has never been simpler today we're going to be building a search and knowledge based application using the power of AI and it's going to be on the Google Cloud platform why Google Cloud well it's safe it's secure and it's Enterprise grade so you know that it's going to be good all right what we're going to be looking at today is understanding what we want to uh put into our knowledge base so get a bit of a plan going we'll then obviously add some of that data into the Google cloud and I'll walk you through those steps we'll then start building the search and knowledge based application configuring it and then ultimately testing it if you enjoy this video like subscribe and if you'd like further details in a full course on how to build applications in Google Cloud check the links down below let's get going right so what we're going to be doing now is building out our search and knowledge based AI all right so what is the some of the first things we need to do when we get going with um a new project well the first thing is let's put a plan together so have a think about what time type of data you want to put into your knowledge base um think about the type of data that you have do you have um enough information to build up those knowledge base or do you need to go and find it all right um so what I'm going to do today is I'm going to just show you a sample of what I've been looking at and um it's basically um a Google search that I did so what are the principles for AI in the US government all right and as you would expect the highest sponsored um stuff is right on the top and they want you you click on there but it's not really giving me the principles right so it's taking me to the website and it's trying to sell me something um and I don't want to be sold anything at this particular point in time all right so what I've done is um manag to scour some data that I found and um let's just go quickly have a look at what I found all right so I found a couple of cool PDF documents that are um really going to suit and meet my needs so this is one from the GSA and it's um it's 92 pages long and it's got a lot of information here around AI for government and um how it all applies to government and when you want to um start implementing um AI into government so really awesome useful uh document uh but pretty long pretty pretty boring if you don't really want to read it um and then I found the other one over here there's a bull of Rights and um it's basically a blueprint as well and it's come from the White House .ov um um site all right so again quite a lot of information over here and what I found quite cool with this one was it had some of the principles uh so let's just quickly scroll down here principles to practice and it's really going to be a companion to the Bill of Rights all right so huge amounts of information in here also quite a large number of pages uh 73 pages in total so these are going to be two awesome resources to put into my knowledge base and I can start building out my search and AI conversation bot all right so what we want to do now is go into um so save those two documents and um what we want to do now is go into Google Cloud so type in cloud.google.com if you haven't already signed up for a Google Cloud um environment uh you get some free credit which is really really um uh great and just to test it out um I've already signed up for Google Cloud so if you haven't seen how to do that check one of my other videos links will be down in the description um but what we can do is just go into the console and um once you get into the console you're going to be presented with a screen something similar to this all right um what we want to make sure is that if you don't have a um a project just create a project uh already simple um but be going to do first is we're going to add the data into our storage bucket so step number one to add the data into Google Cloud Storage so click on the little hamburger on the top left go to cloud storage and then click on your buckets all right a bucket is just a it's just another name for a folder ultimately all right you'll be able to see all the buckets that you've created over here and if you wanted to create a new bucket or we can do do is click on create all right I've already created the AI principles Bucket over here and added my two documents just uh just for Simplicity purposes in this video but basically the way you would create a bucket is go create type in the bucket name and you can call it AI principles and we'll just go continue and you can choose multi- region or just do the um this over the region over here um the reason it asks you to do this is it allows you to have high availability so if you want your data to be um um available all the time probably probably not but it doesn't really um hurt too much if you did want it all right here's the um pricing and it's always good to check the pricing because anytime you load any information up into Google Cloud um there is costs associated with it so have a look at it these two files or a couple of Megs each so it's going to be Pennies on the dollar here all right and what we can do is click on Create and what it's going to do now is it's going to create the bucket okay the bucket is going to be called AI principles 2 and I'm just going to upload the files so really simple click on upload files select the two files that I want to upload and what it's going to do now is it's going to start uh putting them into the storage bucket and as you can see there's the first file 1.3 Meg and the second file 11 Meg all right so step one loading the data for your knowledge base is done all right if you wanted to add extra documents um start loading them into your buckets um you can create separate buckets for different types of documentation and knowledge bases um but uh this is just a really simple starting point right Next Step let's go to agent Builder so click on the hamburger icon on the left and look for Agent Builder if you can't find it go down to view all products down at the bottom or you can type in agent builder in the search bar over here and you'll see agent Builder all right so let's go into agent Builder all right so agent Builder is the space where you can create apps in no code low code environment and uh these are all the apps that I've created all right um so here's the uh principles one that I've already created um but um let's just create the new app just so you can see exactly which uh path to go down all right so you can click on create app and what we want to do today is we want to create a search app all right you can do a chat app a recommendations or an agent but for today we're going to just look at the search app all right here's some oper uh some options that you can set as well so we've got a generic type of application so powerful search out of the box utilizing Advanced AI for accurate intense focused search results if you had media like uh video streaming or audio you could choose that or Healthcare you could choose that uh we don't have that so that's fine you want to enable the Enterprise uh features because we want to extract information from the documents right um and we also want to enable um the um Advanced features that come with that all right and we want to enable the LL this is where we can start using large language models to interrogate and to work with our data and our apps all …
